Roy Halladay Bio-

Halladay was a first round draft pick and 17 pick overall for the Toronto Blue Jays in 1998 directly out of high school, a team he stayed with through the 2009 season, which was followed with a trade to the Philadelphia Phillies, a team he still plays for today.  Early in his career, Halladay had a 10.64 ERA in 19 games, 13 of those being in a start, the worst in professional baseball.  Eager to improve, he went to the minors and within months, had moved from A to AAA, pitching a controlled 95 MPH fastball.

By mid-season, Halladay was back in the starting rotation with a 3.19 ERA and posting a 5-3 win/loss record.  Some achievements include winning the Cy Young Award, being chosen for a third All-Star team, and in April of 2006, being named AL Pitcher of the Month.  Throughout his career, Halladay had a few injuries, the worst when his leg was fractured after being hit by a line drive.  Early in 2010, Halladay pitched the 20th perfect game in the history of MLB baseball and shortly after, threw the second no-hitter in the game’s postseason history.  With so many accomplishments, and expectations high for his ongoing future, buying a Roy Halladay rookie card now from eBay or other online sites is considered a good investment.
