Art Monk Bio- Although most people connect Monk with the Washington Redskins, he also played wide receiver for the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.  While playing with Syracuse University, he was a four-year letterman but in 1980, he became a first round draft pick by the Redskins and in his rookie year, he was voted Rookie of the Year.  Just four years later, he had set the NFL record for 106 receptions and a career best of 1,372 years, giving him the honor of being named MVP.

During his 14 years with the Redskins, Monk had played in three victorious Super Bowls, was All-Pro, and chosen to play in the 1985, 1985, and 1986 Pro Bowls.  For all he added to the game of football, Monk was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2008.  While local memorabilia shops sell many of his cards, the best place to find an Art Monk rookie card is online through eBay.
