Joe Montana Bio-
As a very talented quarterback, Montana wore numbers 16 and 19 jerseys while playing for the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively. He made his first professional NFL showing in 1979 for the 49ers but after two seasons, retired in 1994 from the Chiefs. During his time in San Francisco, Montana set multiple records and was honored with numerous awards. Some of his greatest achievements include being named AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year, receiving the Bert Bell Award, being named Most Valuable Player for the Cotton Bowl Classic, NEA NFL, PFWA, AP NFL twice, and AP NFL three times.

Additionally, he played in eight Pro Bowls and was rated by NFL.com as the fourth best NFL player of all-time. Although he had two seasons in Kansas City, many fans felt he never dedicated himself like he did while playing with the 49ers, leaving most glad when he decided to retire. Even so, this Pro Football Hall of Famer remains a legacy in the game, making the Joe Montana rookie card very popular.
